I am sure you have heard of Jinn-I’m sorry, “genies”- from stories like Alladin and such, but Jinn are not jolly and blue and certainly do not come out of lamps. Jinn are summoned once a wish is made and only appear twice a day: once in the morning and once at night. At birth, every human is designated a jinn who will serve as an ambassador of sorts. From that point on, whenever that human makes a wish at 11:11, their jinn will appear and hear their wish. Jinn are notoriously impatient and outrageously cantankerous so they will leave the second the clock strikes 11:12. From that point, they take their respective wishes back to the Grand Hall of Wishes and submit it into what can be compared to a raffle. That raffle includes the wishes of everyone else that made a wish at that moment, with each Jinn hastily submitting their human’s hopeful pleas. Then, 11 wishes are withdrawn and granted. There are a few rules but not many, hence the unrest that occurs in the world at times. Some humans are hasty with their wishes and not pure-hearted, but if chosen they are granted. For instance, once a human wished for there to be cherry-flavored candy, and that wish was granted and a true evil was introduced to the world from then on. However, there are also great wishes that have changed the world for the better. Someone once wished that they could be warm, and the jinn granted them fire. The next time you see the time to be 11:11, be prompt, concise, and deliberate; your jinn is waiting to hear your desire.
