An animal imagined by Kafka was first sighted after the earthquake of 1906. The animal is a male species. This animal can be seen in the alleys of downtown San Jose, California. The animal was struck by lightning shortly after the earthquake, causing its facial expressions to be limited to only his teeth. The animal imagined by Kafka constantly plays jokes on the people of San Jose. For example, when he goes out to the bars of downtown, he will take peoples drinks when they are not looking and since the people are “drunk” they think it was themselves who must have lost it. The animal has no friends or family and that is why he plays these tricks on people. In his kangaroo pouch, he carries a variety of masks so it is hard to identify him. He has never been caught by law enforcement agents, he is much too fast and clever.
