Charles Ervin Williams
Charles Ervin Williams (born May 2, 1985) is a 30 year old professional NBA player who plays for the New York Hamsters. He is 7 feet and 6 inches tall and weighs 250 pounds. He currently holds the title for being tallest basketball player to ever play for the NBA. Charles married his high school girlfriend Nicole Williams in 2007 and together they have four children Rachel, Michael, John, and Steven.
Charles grew up in a small town in Alabama called Akron. The population in Akron is of 344 residents. He began playing basketball at Akron catholic high school. His position was shooting guard. His team made it to the championship game in 2006 and became state champions.
In 2006 Charles received a full basketball scholarship to Alabama State. While attending Alabama State he was drafted in his second year to play for the Miami Rattlesnakes under a five year 6 million dollar contract. He played for Miami a total of 4 years before he injured his ankle in 2011. He spent 5 months on the bench due to his injury. After his contract ended in 2012 the Miami Rattlesnakes decided not to resign him and he was traded for Dalton Smith of the New York Hamsters on a three year, 3 million dollar contract. After joining the Hamsters he held the position of center for the first year. He has been with the Hamsters for 4 years and is currently holding the position of shooting guard.
