Des Ire, birthname Desiree Wayne, was a vigilante active from January 2017 to July 2017 in San Jose, California. She is the daughter of Tommy Wayne and Mithra Wayne, born on July 1, 1990 in San Francisco, California. Des Ire was captured and incarcerated by the police after sustaining an injury trying to escape from them. She is still on trial for crimes such as murder.

On January 29, 2017, Des Ire first emerged after killing Anthony Malzone, who was wanted for the kidnapping and killing of 3 men in the San Jose area. She had left a note identifying herself as "Des Ire, the Vigilante with a Thirst for Justice", claiming credit for the killing, and urged authorities to work harder to lower the crime rate. Investigators could not find any evidence leading to Des Ire at the time.

On February 3, 2017, Barbara Stone, a San Jose native, had gone to a police station claiming she was raped by a man but was saved by a woman in a red jumpsuit. Police later found that man, who was tied to a street light with a note that read "Rapist. - Des Ire" attached to him. Stone could not give any more information on the vigilante.

Many were questioning whether or not Des Ire should be let to continue her actions. The media was split in the middle, some saying her actions were keeping the city safe. Others thought that she couldn't be trusted to do the job of law enforcement and that she was a danger to the city.

On July 16, 2017, police finally had a lead on Des Ire after a neighbor had reported seeing a figure with a similar red jumpsuit entering a house through a window. The house was owned by a Zack Huynh, an ex-convict who was released earlier in the year. Upon arrival. authorities surrounded the house and found Des Ire attempting to flee the premises. Police shot her with rubber bullets, and she was captured and taken into custody.

Little is known about her motives. Her past victims have no connection to her or her family.
