Galapanoose

Marine biologist Dr. Robin Smith discovered an unidentified drifting island on the outskirts of Antarctica on February 3, 2013. Smith is a graduate from Princeton University, and was born and raised in San Jose, CA. Mr. Smith and geologist Dr. Abraham Colbert, also a graduate from Princeton University, have studied the island for over a year and at first weren’t able to make out how was it that the piece of drifting land came to existence. Dr. Robin Smith who made the discovery of the drifting island now named Galapanoose has discovered that the island belonged to the once supercontinent known as Pangea (the unification of all continents). As a result of the break apart of the continents over 2 million years ago the small island Galapanoose drifted away and was lost in the Bermuda Triangle. If the island had never drifted away from the Bermuda Triangle it may have never been discovered. Galapanoose is about 1,020 square miles making it almost the size of the state of Rhode Island. The island has a known population of 2,010 Galopanians. The people on Galapanoose are still in the primitive stages of evolution due to the ecosystem of this island never being altered and no outside human contact ever made. Archeologists have also confirmed that other primitive life exists on Galapanoose. Large mammoths and cyber cats have been spotted roaming the island. There is still much information that needs to be gathered by Dr. Smith and his colleagues, but they are in development stages of figuring out how to further approach this primitive ecosystem.
