Tinker bell

Tinker bell is a little blonde fairy with a lot of attitude. She has gained a reputation of being sassy and even snooty, but she has a bit of a soft side for Peter Pan who she’s rumored to have romantic feelings for. Until recently, Tinker Bell has always been a silent Disney character so she has learnt to communicate through her body language and facial expressions or even through turning red when angry. She is most commonly seen wearing a little green dress, with matching green shoes with a white puff on the toes, and her hair in a tight bun.

Tinker bell received her claim to fame by staring in Walt Disney’s Peter Pan which was released in 1953. Since then, many would argue she has become one of most iconic Disney characters. You are able to meet Tinker Bell in any Disney park across the globe. She is also commonly seen flying around on the Walt Disney screen shown before any Disney movie.

Tinker Bell has been featured in many Disney movies such as: Peter Pan, Mickeys Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse, Mickey’s House of Villains, and Return to Neverland. Until recently she played all supportive roles, but now she has her own self-titled Disney channel series and has made a couple of movies including: Tinker Bell, Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy, and Secret of the Wings.

Not only has Tinker Bell worked in films, but she has been featured in several video games. Video games are becoming an increasingly popular market so it is not surprising that Disney has decided to include their favorite fairy in the trend. She has been in video games such as: Mickey Mousecapade, Peter Pan: Adventures in Never Land, Peter Pan: The Legend of Never Land, Return to Never Land, Kingdom Hearts series Disney Fairies video games series, Disney Universe, Kinect Disneyland Adventures, and Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion.

Disney Fairies

In 2005 Tinker Bell became the face of the new fairly line. This line was inspired by the infamous Disney Princess line. This line includes toys, movies, a television series, books, and even Halloween Costumes. The release of the Disney Fairies line was the first occasion where Tinker Bell would have a voice. It became a way to allow children to relate to her. Mae Whitman was chosen to take on the task of giving the fairy her voice. In the series, Tinker Bell is friends with fellow faries; Silvermist, Rosetta, Iridessa, Fawn, Vidia, and Queen Clarion. They all reside in Pixie Hollow in the far away Never Land. The movies, television series, and books attempt to tell the various stories of all the trouble the fairies get up to in Pixie Hollow and show how strong their friendship is.
