The yeti is to be very similar to the creature big foot and being bigger than the average human being. The Yeti is an ape like creature and is told to be from the habitat of the Himalayas in Nepal. The existence of the Yeti in stories according to Tibetans date back to the 4th century BC when the Yeti can be found in a poem called “Rama and Sita”. The government of Nepal officially declared the Yeti to exist in 1961as the Yeti became their national symbol. It was in the 19th century when the story of the Yeti started circulating in the Western World. The yeti was reported as part of the pre-Buddhist beliefs as the Lepcha people worshipped a so called “Glacier Being” as a God of the Hunt. There have been multiple reports of seeing the Yeti or its footprints. These sighting where the Yeti was said to be spotted have mostly been recorded in Mongolia, Tibet, Nepal, Pakistan and the surrounding areas. The first sighting of the Yeti that was reported spotted was back in 1825. One of the cases came in 1925 a photographer by the name of N. A. Tombazi which was a member of the Royal Geographical Society wrote about his experience spotting the Yeti. He wrote that he saw a creature near the Zemu Glacier about 200 to 300 yards away. The creature he spotted was very similar to a human as it walked on two legs and had the same outline. The creature showed up dark against the snow and from what he could make out from the distance wore no clothes. In 1984 there was another so called report of seeing the Yeti by the famed mountaineer David Shepperd of New Jersey. He described the situation of being followed by a large, furry man over the time of his climb near the southern Col of Everest. Sheppard took a photograph of the so called furry man but a study and the public viewed the photograph as inconclusive. The Yeti is a creature that has been talked about for a long time, yet no conclusive evidence has been brought to light. Marcus Garcia
